G'DAY MATES! your new crush Nico is here with some opening night confessional questions.

1- Stranded will have been running for 14 years as of this coming Saturday! Along the way we've seen some truly unhinged characters, master strategists, and plenty of worthy contenders. Heading into this season, everyone was informed of the alias allstars twist, and had time to prepare accordingly. Is there anyone in particular that you would expect to be here? Do you think people can alias well enough to hide that identity for the entire game?

2-Tell us about your tribe! Who are you clicking with so far? Do you think you'll be able to work within this specific group of personalities?

3- What has changed since the last time you played Stranded? Update us! Help the viewers get to know you!

4- How are you aliasing this season? Any specific information you're withholding from the other players to avoid being detected? Remember that there is one new player with knowledge of which stranded and isolated characters have returned for the season. How do you think this twist will factor into the game?

As always, feel free to use this confessional to update us with anything you feel is important! It's just you, the hosts, and some famous Australians allowed in here, so you can be as honest as you'd like. we can see all of your DMs anyways so it's not like you have anything to hide

1. I know nobody from the Stranded community, so I have no expectations about who might be here. And I definitely am not going to be figuring out anyone's identity. I wouldn't be totally surprised if some of the active people managed to recognize one another, but I won't know them and I doubt they'll know me.

2. I think I've clicked with a fair few people. I've engaged with every tribemate to some degree. I think I have the best rapport with Tessa, the worst with Tegan. But I would have no problems working with any of the people I've talked to so far.

3. The main change in terms of my ability to play the game is my job change. I no longer work in retail and have a normal 9-5 schedule. Being available at inconsistent, nonstandard hours in my past games was very unhelpful. If I start being inactive now it'll just be because I lost interest, not because I was actually incapable of being on at the right times.

4. I'm not trying to hide anything, other than not specifically talking about my previous experience. I don't think my gameplay was unique or interesting enough that I'll give away any identifiers that lead back to me.

The one other thing worth mentioning here is that Kristie is playing an...interesting game. I had her pegged early on as the potential newbie, but since then she was confused about challenge submissions and straight up said "I still don’t know much about this game." It seems a little bit like she wants to convince me she's the newbie, or it's possibly a double bluff and she wants me to see those indicators as fake. She also volunteered that it's apparently her birthday on Wednesday, which seems like identifiable personal information a returnee would want to keep to themselves.

Basically, all I can conclude at this point is that she's playing some kind of crazy game based around this anonymity premise, and I'm really not sure what it is. I still suspect her of being the newbie, but my confidence has dropped a little bit. Tegan is the other person I'm getting potential newbie vibes from.
